About the Opportunity
This role sits within a rapidly expanding food and beverage and retail operations business in the United Arab Emirates. The company supports high-volume food service and import-export activity for premium restaurant brands across the UAE, with teams focused on delivering smooth guest experiences at everything from quick-service counters to fine-dining payment points. The organization is now looking for dependable cashiers who are service-oriented and ready to work on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept cash, card, and digital payments at the restaurant payment counter with accuracy and efficiency.
- Use POS software quickly and correctly, including proper item entry, discounts, and tax handling.
- Support customers with questions, help resolve billing issues, and maintain a courteous, professional approach during busy periods.
- Close out daily tills, prepare sales summaries, and follow shift-end cash balancing procedures.
- Keep the cashier area tidy and organized, and step in with light stocking or front-of-house tasks when required.
- Follow all hygiene, safety, and health requirements set under UAE food and beverage rules.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems confidently.
- Strong cash management and payment handling skills.
- Customer service mindset with a professional manner.
- Comfort with basic calculations and numerical accuracy.
- Good spoken and written English communication.
- Awareness of UAE food and beverage compliance expectations.
- Arabic language ability is an advantage.
- Previous experience in quick-service or fine-dining restaurants is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant delivery platforms such as Zomato, Talabat, or Deliveroo is preferred.
