About the Internship
We are looking for a driven Quantitative Developer Intern eager to assist in designing and refining data-centric algorithms and quantitative models. This role offers a valuable chance to collaborate closely with senior developers and researchers, acquiring practical experience in the construction, evaluation, and scaling of advanced financial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing, implementing, and testing quantitative models and trading algorithms.
- Examine extensive high-frequency datasets and create tools to enhance data intake and analysis operations.
- Participate in thorough backtesting and model validation using both historical and live market data.
- Work collaboratively with the tech team to improve code efficiency and scalability, focusing on low-latency systems.
- Document comprehensively all algorithms, workflow processes, and tools developed.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programs in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar quantitative disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of Python and its scientific libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Experience working with relational or non-relational databases for managing large datasets.
- Basic understanding of data analysis techniques and introductory machine learning concepts.
- Fundamental knowledge of financial markets, time-series data analysis, and quantitative methods including statistical concepts and risk management.
Preferred Skills
- Familiar with additional programming languages such as Java or C# for software integration.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of quantitative finance frameworks like QuantConnect, Backtrader, or Zipline.
- Understanding of algorithmic trading methods including market making and statistical arbitrage.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Plotly, Tableau) and version control systems (Git).
- Awareness of financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv/Reuters.
Compensation and Benefits
- The stipend ranges from ₹14,000 to ₹19,000 per month, comprising a fixed component of ₹12,000 to ₹15,000 and an incentive of ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 monthly.
- A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the internship.
