Role Overview

Fortis Memorial Research Institute is seeking an experienced Quality Head to steer hospital-wide quality, patient safety, clinical governance, and accreditation efforts. The role calls for a leader who can guide teams, strengthen compliance, and help build systems that improve care standards and patient experience.

Strategic Quality Leadership

• Set the direction for patient safety, clinical quality, and patient experience initiatives across the hospital.
• Act as the official liaison for accreditation authorities such as NABH and JCI.
• Track developments in global healthcare quality practices and adapt relevant improvements into day-to-day hospital operations.

Compliance and Accreditation

• Manage gap assessments, pre-accreditation reviews, and the full accreditation journey end to end.
• Ensure that statutory and regulatory obligations are followed, including infection control and medication safety standards.
• Plan and coordinate internal and external inspections and related readiness activities.

Audits and Risk Management

• Build and run a structured internal audit program covering both clinical and non-clinical functions.
• Lead corrective and preventive action plans to close gaps and reduce the risk of adverse events.
• Track KPIs, oversee incident reporting, and support the hospital’s risk management framework.

Training and Capacity Building

• Train hospital employees and new hires on emergency codes, quality management systems, and documentation practices.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by applying methods such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Eligibility and Experience

Candidates should hold a BHM or BHMCT in Hospital Management, or an MBBS with any specialization. The role requires at least 12 years of relevant experience in the same domain, with a preference for professionals who have worked in NABH- and JCI-accredited hospital environments.
