- Prepare project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing requirements.
- Coordinate a portfolio of simultaneous projects and manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Track project progress and apply corrective measures when plans begin to drift.
- Spot project risks and issues early, then put mitigation actions in place.
- Produce project reports, dashboard updates, and executive-level summaries for leadership.
- Oversee construction and infrastructure assignments from concept through handover.
- Lead operational improvement and business-focused projects across the organization.
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Review project quality and support smooth project handover at completion.
- Build procurement plans that support project goals and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate sourcing, tendering, vendor assessment, and contract negotiations.
- Administer contracts and monitor the performance of contractors and vendors.
- Make sure goods and services are delivered on time and within approved budgets.
- Keep procurement activities aligned with company policy and governance standards.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, government bodies, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Run project meetings and communicate progress clearly to senior management.
- Manage expectations across stakeholders and resolve issues proactively.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is considered an advantage.
- Membership in PMI or another recognized professional body is also an advantage.
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in project management.
- Strong background in construction or infrastructure project delivery.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector will be an added benefit.
- A demonstrated history of taking projects from planning through to successful completion.
- Hands-on experience working with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to procurement, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
- Experience in multinational or fast-moving corporate environments is preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong planning, organization, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management ability.
- Good analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving capability.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects at once and perform well under pressure.
- Strong focus on detail, quality, deadlines, and accountability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar project tools.
- Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or Jira.
- Comfort using AI-based productivity tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
- Professional, ethical, organized, proactive, and commercially aware.
- A calm, influential communicator who can work across teams without direct authority.
