Project Coordinator I - Pediatrics

Role Summary

The Project Coordinator I supports the planning and execution of basic to moderately complex projects that sit outside the department’s day-to-day operations. The role helps carry projects from start to finish by contributing to the project plan and making sure the work stays aligned with that plan. Each project is expected to have a defined start date and end date.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate basic and moderately complex project tasks while protecting the quality, timing, and accuracy of project work and schedules.
• Manage detailed project timelines, including administrative items, and keep work moving toward deadlines.
• Organize, direct, and support assigned project activities so tasks are completed as planned.
• Lead or help run project meetings when needed, including preparing agendas, materials, presentations, tables, and meeting notes.
• Keep organized records and project documentation, and help establish consistent methods for storing project files.
• Share project findings and prepare reports or other project outputs when assigned.
• Track project changes and update schedules accordingly.
• Watch deliverables and milestones closely, alert leadership to issues, and support corrective action when needed.
• Assist with ordering, receiving follow-up, and invoice tracking when the project requires it.
• Create test scenarios when the project or department needs them.
• Handle conference travel arrangements and project-related departmental correspondence as assigned.
• Communicate with vendors, consultants, and outside contractors when required by the project.
• Complete other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience. No experience is strictly required, though one year of project coordination experience is preferred.

Compensation

The stated salary range for this position is $66,482.07 to $75,000 per year. Final pay may vary based on experience, education, and operational needs. Bonuses, incentive compensation, differentials, and other benefits are not included in the listed range.
