Operations Supervisor, AMZL Logistics - DS Variable

Role overview

Amazon Operations is growing, and this position is suited to someone who enjoys fast-moving work, strong teamwork, and delivering results that improve the customer experience. In this role, you will supervise shift activity in a first mile fulfillment center, middle mile sortation center, or final mile delivery station, helping keep the order flow moving smoothly from start to finish.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a safe work environment by spotting and addressing safety risks in your area.
• Lead, coach, and train associates so service levels for customers remain strong.
• Make sure customer orders are completed according to quality standards and safety rules.
• Share timely shift updates and important operational information with frontline managers and operators.
• Rebalance labor across the shift to stay aligned with plans and forecasts.
• Work with support teams and other departments to resolve issues such as area readiness, 5S, safety, and training.
• Use data, process improvements, and new ideas to help solve logistics and supply chain problems.

What we are looking for

• Someone with excellent communication skills, strong ownership, and a hands-on leadership style.
• Ability to build working knowledge across all operational processes.
• Experience with Excel and warehouse management systems.
• Comfort using data to guide decisions, motivate teams, and keep the customer at the center of choices.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, changing schedules, and overtime when required.

Basic qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and remain standing or walking for shifts of up to 12 hours, with frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Amazon Amnesty Floor Monitoring.
• A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management, or a related discipline.
