Mid-weight UX/UI Designer (Banking)

Role overview

A digital consultancy is seeking a Mid-weight UX/UI Designer for a 6-month contract supporting a high-profile banking client. The role sits within the Commercial Banking space and focuses on designing digital experiences for commercial lending journeys. Banking or wider financial services experience is essential.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end user experiences and interfaces for commercial lending products.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed interaction designs that support programme goals.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams across commercial banking.
• Lead discovery work such as user research, insight collection, and usability testing.
• Simplify complex lending and financial requirements into clear, intuitive digital solutions.
• Contribute to design strategy and design thinking across the wider Commercial Banking design function.

Experience and skills

• 4 to 5 years of UX/UI design experience.
• Background in Financial Services, preferably Commercial Banking or Lending.
• Strong capability across the full product design process from research through to validation.
• Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience operating in regulated environments.

Additional information

This is a contract position based in London with a hybrid working model requiring attendance onsite once per week. The rate is £400 to £440 per day and the assignment is inside IR35.
