Role Summary

Gabb is looking for a Content Writer to produce educational content for parents and support marketing writing across the brand. The role centers on helping families understand topics such as kids’ technology, online safety, digital communication, AI, screen time, slang, and social media.

This is a split role: about half of the work will involve blog content, content maintenance, educational resources, and publishing support, while the other half will focus on marketing copy for campaigns, landing pages, emails, video scripts, product messaging, and other creative needs.

You will collaborate closely with the SEO Strategist for keyword direction and optimization guidance, but your main focus will be writing, editing, research, revisions, and content execution. The ideal candidate can turn complex or sensitive subjects into clear, helpful, parent-friendly content and maintain a tone that is educational, reassuring, and trustworthy while following brand, FTC, and compliance requirements.

Blog, Educational Content, and Publishing

  • Develop, revise, and refresh blog posts that help parents understand kids’ tech, digital communication, online safety, social media, slang, AI, screen time, and related parenting topics, handling sensitive subjects with care and clarity.
  • Build parent-friendly content from assigned topics, briefs, research, and content priorities.
  • Use AI writing tools as support for drafting, outlining, brainstorming, research organization, and revision, while keeping human judgment, originality, accuracy, and brand voice central to the final output.
  • Work with the SEO Strategist on keyword-based articles, content updates, and optimization suggestions without being responsible for the overall SEO strategy.
  • Research topics thoroughly to improve accuracy, context, credibility, and usefulness.
  • Edit and update existing blog material for structure, tone, relevance, accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the brand.
  • Assist with blog production tasks such as updating Google Docs, preparing files for WordPress, uploading content, and publishing when required.
  • Coordinate with design, motion, and creative teams on blog visuals, videos, extensions, and supporting assets, and repurpose blog content into emails, video scripts, social posts, newsletters, or campaign copy.

  • Write email content for nurture sequences, onboarding, newsletters, lifecycle messaging, and related communications.
  • Use AI tools to speed up ideation, variations, and copy development while ensuring every final asset is accurate, appropriate for the audience, on brand, and reviewed by a human.
  • Draft video scripts, short-form copy, headlines, body copy, calls to action, and supporting language for creative work.
  • Adjust messaging for different audiences, channels, and funnel stages while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Partner with creative, growth, lifecycle, product, and compliance teams to keep copy clear, accurate, on brand, and launch-ready, including participating in reviews, revisions, approvals, and final checks.

Brand, Legal, and FTC Compliance

  • Write and update content with strong attention to FTC, legal, and brand-compliance expectations, ensuring claims are clear, supportable, and not exaggerated.
  • Identify copy that should be reviewed by compliance, product, or other stakeholders before publication.
