With 11 multidisciplinary centres of excellence across Alberta and Ontario, LMC is supported by a team of more than 50 endocrinologists and a broad network of healthcare professionals.
The team is hiring a Medical Scribe for a temporary full-time assignment of 6 months at the Brampton clinic located at 2979 Bovaird Dr. E, Brampton.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately document patient visits and enter relevant details into the patient chart, including vital signs.
- Update and maintain patient health information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Help coordinate diagnostic testing and patient referrals to specialists.
- Keep the work area orderly, clean, and professional at all times.
- Participate in required departmental and organization-wide meetings.
- Provide support with a range of administrative tasks as needed.
- Receive cross-training from other departments so support can be extended when required.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate in a South Asian language such as Urdu, Hindi, or Punjabi is considered an advantage.
- Background as a Medical Assistant, Nurse, or Medical Scribe.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Good computer literacy along with solid typing ability.
Compensation and additional information
The anticipated pay range for this position is CAD 19 to CAD 20 per hour. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the geographic location of the role.
