Job Overview

This full-time Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is based in Vadodara, Gujarat, and is intended for a junior professional with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance. The position focuses on keeping plant equipment dependable and production running smoothly through preventive and predictive maintenance in an industrial oil and gas or petrochemical setting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid practical exposure to preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment, with an emphasis on keeping operations running without interruption.
• Working knowledge of predictive maintenance methods used to spot issues early and reduce equipment failures.
• Ability to service, diagnose, and improve a broad range of mechanical systems in a large-scale plant environment.
• Capability to carry out root cause analysis and identify the reasons behind repeated equipment breakdowns.
• Strong fault-finding skills to assess problems quickly and apply corrective measures that limit downtime.
• Experience in creating and updating maintenance-related records, technical manuals, and service documentation.
• Awareness of safety rules and operating practices followed in petrochemical and oil and gas facilities.
• Good coordination and communication skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance for mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and pipelines.
• Detect mechanical issues, investigate faults, and restore equipment as quickly as possible to maintain plant availability.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns to determine root causes and implement measures that reduce future failures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, schedules, and failure investigations.
• Work closely with operations, process, and safety teams to support safe and efficient plant functioning.
• Contribute to shutdown and turnaround planning and execution by completing and documenting required maintenance tasks.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards and encourage safe work practices at all times.
• Help improve maintenance methods, procedures, and standards on an ongoing basis.

Additional Information

This role requires on-site presence at the Vadodara facility. The work is junior-level and centered on industrial mechanical maintenance within a petrochemical or oil and gas environment.
