Overview

IMDA is seeking a proactive and future-oriented Manager for its Planning & Strategy team. The role focuses on strengthening the tech and media talent pipeline by shaping effective strategies, coordinating with stakeholders, and helping ensure curriculum and manpower planning stay aligned with future industry needs.

What you'll do

  • Create talent strategies for the tech and media sectors so they remain relevant to fast-changing industry developments.
  • Bring together work across policy areas including Pre-Employment Training, Continuing Education and Training, Scholarships, and Global Manpower.
  • Carry out research, trend analysis, sense-making, and forecasting to spot emerging jobs and in-demand skills in the tech and media landscape.
  • Build strategic insights from data to inform evidence-based policy decisions.
  • Represent IMDA’s views on tech talent issues through different communications and engagement platforms.
  • Oversee and coordinate strategic resources.
  • Prepare the cluster workplan, monitor and review performance results, and support corporate reporting to management.

Requirements

  • You should have 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in planning or strategy roles.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to produce clear analyses, assessments, and presentations.
  • You must be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and be able to operate both independently and collaboratively across teams.
