Role Overview
This position is for a Manager, Lifecycle Contract Management to lead planning, execution, and service levels for the APAC contracts management team, covering India, Southeast Asia, and Japan. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Lifecycle Operations Contracts Management and offers the chance to contribute directly to a fast-growing global employment platform.
The Lifecycle team supports clients as an extension of their HR function, handling complex global employment matters with speed and accuracy. The work supports compliance coverage, customer experience improvements, and operational scale across more than 80 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary expert and escalation contact for contract management matters.
- Coach, guide, and develop team members to create a strong-performing regional function.
- Own hiring, onboarding, training, skill development, mentoring, and supervision of the APAC team.
- Work closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, Customer Success, and internal Lifecycle stakeholders to improve integrations, workflows, processes, and SOPs in line with business goals.
- Continuously refine team processes, tools, and ways of working, including identifying automation opportunities that improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
- Build and launch new initiatives from the ground up and take them through to scale.
- Represent Remote’s values and the Lifecycle team’s objectives both internally and externally.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings experience in HR operations across multiple APAC countries, with strong knowledge of contract management and labour law. You should have a history of scaling or managing HR operations in varied APAC markets, along with practical expertise in local labor compliance.
Experience in a fast-moving international scale-up environment is important, along with people management experience and a coaching approach. Strong comfort with digital tools and a service-level mindset are also essential, as the role emphasizes continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in startup and remote work environments is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Prior remote work experience is not mandatory, but it would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage employee data and confidential information carefully, with professionalism and discretion, is necessary.
Work Details
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Lifecycle Contract Management, and sits within the EOR Operations team. Applications are welcomed from all locations, though APAC candidates will be prioritized as part of the team’s diversification focus. The expected start date is as soon as possible.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this full-time role is USD 48,850 to USD 110,000, with pay determined by role level, location, experience, skills, and business needs. Remote uses geographic pay ranges as part of its global compensation approach and may adjust compensation based on internal mobility or market factors.
