Law Clerk (Remote)

Role summary

This contract opportunity is for a remote law clerk supporting a client focused on commercial real estate and energy matters. The position is designed for someone who can assist legal teams with transaction support, document preparation, and research while working from anywhere.

What you'll do

• Prepare, revise, and review commercial real estate and energy-related contracts, lease agreements, and other transactional paperwork.
• Carry out legal research on commercial real estate and energy law topics, including regulatory checks and transaction due diligence.
• Help manage deal documents so they remain accurate, complete, and aligned with legal standards.
• Work closely with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to keep transaction workflows moving smoothly.
• Keep legal files, correspondence, and related records well organized for current and future matters.

Skills and qualifications

• A Juris Doctor degree, or enrollment in an accredited law school with at least two years completed.
• Previous experience as a law clerk, legal assistant, or in a comparable position, ideally in commercial real estate or energy.
• Strong drafting and contract-review skills, including lease and transactional documents.
• Comfort using legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar databases.
• Excellent organization and close attention to detail for document control and compliance tracking.

Compensation

The payout for this role is $40 to $55 per hour.
