Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a detail-focused Junior Data Analyst who can help turn raw information into useful business insights. In this role, you will support decision-making through data gathering, analysis, reporting, and business intelligence work. The position calls for strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and an interest in using data to improve business outcomes.

What you will do

You will work with data from multiple sources to help support operational, financial, and strategic workstreams. Your day-to-day tasks may include organizing datasets, checking them for accuracy, cleansing and validating records, and preparing reports, dashboards, and performance summaries. You will also help track data quality, spot trends, identify patterns, and assist with business performance analysis.

Additional responsibilities may include maintaining databases, producing practical insights, supporting forecasting and planning activities, contributing to process improvement efforts, and working with different teams to meet reporting and analysis needs.

What we are looking for

The right candidate should be comfortable using spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms. A working understanding of analytical methods, basic statistics, data visualization, and reporting standards will be useful. Knowledge of SQL, data querying, and common analytical tools is an added advantage.

We value strong numerical ability, careful attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain findings clearly and concisely. Professionalism, adaptability, curiosity, and good communication are also important. You should be able to handle several tasks at once, meet deadlines, work independently when needed, and collaborate well with colleagues and stakeholders.

Preferred background

A background in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a similar field is preferred. Experience from reporting, research, administration, operations support, data management, internships, or analytical projects will be beneficial. Exposure to business intelligence software, visualization tools, database systems, reporting applications, or statistical tools is also a plus.
