Role overview
This position is for Junior Aircraft Engineers to join the team at Berlin Brandenburg (BER) and Hahn (HHN). The role sits within Line Maintenance / Engineering and is designed as a 24-month development programme aimed at building the practical experience and technical confidence needed to progress toward licensing as an aircraft engineer.
The first 12 months combine theoretical learning with hands-on training to strengthen engineering skills and prepare the candidate to apply for a Category A licence. By the end of the second stage of the programme, the candidate should be eligible to apply for a CAT A, B1, or B2 licence.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance of Ryanair aircraft across German stations.
- Build practical aircraft engineering capability through a mix of classroom-based and on-the-job training.
- Work within a safe, high-performance engineering environment.
- Contribute to line maintenance activities as part of the engineering team.
- Develop the competence needed to progress toward aircraft maintenance licensing.
Requirements
- Full basic training certificate at CAT A or CAT B level from an EASA Part 147 approved training organisation.
- CEFR B1 certificate or an equivalent qualification is required for non-native English speakers.
- Valid EU driving licence.
- Strong basic manual skills.
- Self-driven attitude, initiative, and enthusiasm.
- Good command of English.
- Willingness to travel and work in shifts.
- Freedom to work anywhere in the European Union.

Programme details
The junior engineer programme runs for 24 months in total. During the first 12 months, trainees complete a blend of theory and practical learning. After the first year, they may apply for a Category A licence. After completing the second phase, they may apply for CAT A, B1, or B2 licences.
