Role Overview
The Ideation Strategist plays a central role in generating bold, fresh concepts that can become standout videos. This person should combine creativity with analytical thinking, using platform data and trend awareness to shape ideas that are both original and strategically designed for virality.
The ideal candidate will be able to think expansively while still working inside established video formats. A strong understanding of what drives clicks, especially the relationship between titles and thumbnails, is essential. The role also involves spotting opportunities, presenting ideas clearly, and helping the creative team stay ahead of trends.
What You Will Do
- Track trends, topics, and search keywords relevant to the YouTube platform.
- Generate and present new viral video concepts and format ideas, both independently and when assigned.
- Evaluate, organize, and turn raw inspiration into usable creative direction.
- Facilitate and guide collaborative brainstorming sessions.
- Draft and refine YouTube titles and thumbnail text.
- Partner with a remote contractor team on a daily basis to support creative strategy and idea development.
What We Are Looking For
- Prior exposure to YouTube is preferred.
- Familiarity with creators, influencers, and current video trends, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- A humble mindset and openness to coaching, feedback, and growth.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Comfort working collaboratively and adapting quickly when priorities change.
