İş tanımı
Overview
This role is a practical, customer-facing starting point for someone who wants to build a long-term career in audiology. You’ll support people through their hearing-care journey, help deliver high-quality clinical service, and develop the experience and qualifications needed to move forward into audiology with the backing of an established healthcare business.
The position combines direct customer service with meaningful responsibility, structured learning, and a clear progression path.
Clinic environment
You’ll be based in a modern clinic setting, working alongside Audiologists to help deliver excellent hearing care. The workplace is built around appointment-based services, up-to-date hearing technology, strong operational support, and consistent clinical standards.
- Use of the latest hearing technology and hearing-aid solutions
- Structured appointment diaries and organised clinic flow
- Reliable clinical and operational support
- Clear processes and high standards of care
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be the welcoming first contact for customers and a key support to both clients and Audiologists. You’ll assist with screenings, pre-clinic preparation, aftercare, and day-to-day administration while helping customers understand their hearing-health options.
- Welcome customers and provide a professional first impression
- Perform hearing screenings and pre-clinic checks
- Support hearing-aid upkeep, troubleshooting, and aftercare
- Help Audiologists manage clinic flow and prepare customers for appointments
- Talk confidently about hearing health, ear-care products, and next steps
- Maintain accurate records, appointment schedules, and administrative tasks
- Contribute to a service that is focused on quality and customer care
Training and progression
You’ll receive structured training from day one to build both confidence and clinical knowledge. This includes time at the Boots Hearingcare Academy in Llandudno over several months, with accommodation and travel-related expenses covered. Learning is supported by practical experience in store.
The progression route is Hearing Wellness Advisor to QHAD to Audiologist. If you perform strongly, you may advance to the fully funded Qualification in Hearing Aid Dispensing (QHAD) programme, which leads toward a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist position.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs, or equivalent, with Grade C / 5 or above in Maths, English, and Science
- Evidence of strong performance and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage both academic learning and clinical practice
What’s included
The package includes a salary of €27,752 per year, a monthly bonus plan, a Boots Discount Card, free hearing aids if needed as an employee, and a free flu vaccination with discounted access for family members. Additional benefits include a pension plan with salary sacrifice, life assurance, a Flexible Benefits Box so you can shape part of your package, Telus wellbeing support for confidential help inside and outside work, 25 days of annual leave rising to 30 with service plus bank holidays, and long-service awards.
Who this role suits
This opportunity is well suited to someone with a solid customer-service background, ideally from healthcare or retail, who is comfortable in a consultative setting and wants to move into audiology over time. Strong communication, organisation, accuracy, and a genuine interest in hearing health are important.
Equal opportunity
The employer states that it is committed to equal opportunity and fair treatment. Recruitment and employment decisions are made regardless of ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, gender, genetic identity, age, disability, or any other legally protected status.
