Health Safety Environment Coordinator

About the Role

The HSE Coordinator will help drive the project’s health, safety, and environmental management framework, ensuring it is applied consistently and improved over time. This position focuses on coordinating HSE paperwork and records, meeting client and legal expectations, tracking performance, assisting with audits and incident reviews, and encouraging a strong safety mindset across all work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and control HSE materials such as plans, procedures, risk assessments, job safety analyses, and method statements.
• Check adherence to company, client, and regulatory HSE standards through site inspections, audits, and follow-up of corrective measures.
• Organize HSE files and documentation, including NCRs, SORs, incident investigations, reports, KPI data, and dashboard information.
• Arrange HSE meetings, training sessions, toolbox talks, emergency exercises, and safety awareness activities.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts and maintain clear coordination with project teams and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, or civil project environments.
• Hands-on ability to prepare HSE documents, risk assessments, method statements, and compliance reports.
• Good working knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, client-specific requirements, and recognized international safety practices.
• Experience handling NCRs, corrective actions, inspections, audits, and HSE reporting tasks.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to Power BI for HSE dashboards and KPI reporting is an added advantage.
• Well-developed communication, coordination, analytical, and reporting abilities.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving project setting and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or similar certifications are preferred.
