Job Purpose
The main objective of this role is to support efficient and safe production of quality goods by helping operate and monitor equipment while keeping the work area clean and organized.
Key Duties
- Step into operations roles to cover breaks, vacation time, and other employee absences.
- Run equipment as needed.
- Carry out fire watch responsibilities.
- Handle general cleaning tasks.
- Clean machinery and related equipment.
- Sort finished or in-process product.
- Take an active part in environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
- Keep assigned areas neat and orderly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and projects.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
What You Bring
- Strong ability to solve problems effectively.
- Good time management and task prioritization skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety policies and regulations.
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Open to training for a variety of operations-based roles.
- Flexible availability for rotating weekly shifts and extra hours when business needs require it.
- Interest in growing into full-time operations roles and progressing along the internal line of advancement as openings become available.
Experience
Industrial experience of at least 2 years is considered an asset.
Education
A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing plant and is performed indoors.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $34.00 to $36.24 per hour.
