Role overview
This opportunity is for a Finance Analyst joining the Global Financial Reporting team at Brookfield Asset Management. Based at the downtown Toronto head office, the role reports to the Director, Finance and offers broad exposure to financial reporting, compliance, investor relations, and business planning and forecasting within a global asset management environment.

Key responsibilities
- Partner with international business teams to compile consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements and public filings, including the Supplemental and MD&A.
- Prepare analysis and reporting packages for senior leaders, such as operating metrics and corporate results, to help guide decisions.
- Develop reporting materials for the Board and senior management.
- Assist internal and external auditors with quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Help build consolidated financial forecasts, monitor subsidiary operating performance worldwide, and explain outcomes to stakeholders.
- Work closely with operating businesses and multiple Brookfield functions on a regular basis.
- Identify ways to improve processes, tools, and reporting outputs, and recommend practical enhancements.
- Support refinancing due diligence, one-off analyses, presentation materials, investor-related questions, and special assignments as required.
- Contribute to the quarterly valuation cycle, including reviewing models and long-term assumptions and preparing consolidated management presentations.
Requirements
- A university degree in Business or Finance.
- A completed CPA designation, or active progress toward completion of a recognized professional accounting qualification.
- One to three years of growing experience in finance and/or accounting roles.
- Advanced Excel capability and strong experience using financial systems.
- Good leadership and interpersonal abilities, along with a team-oriented mindset.
- Comfort working in a complex, fast-moving environment while handling shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- A self-driven approach to managing workload and continuing professional growth.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics, HFM, OneStream, and Workiva is considered an advantage.
Compensation
The posted salary range is CAD 75,000 to CAD 90,000 per year.
