Role overview
This opportunity is with a respected business that supports high-quality productions across advertising, film, and television. The role sits within a compact finance team and offers the chance to take on a broad mix of accounting and admin duties in a busy, fast-moving environment.
What you will do
- Handle supplier accounts by matching purchase orders, reconciling statements, and resolving outstanding queries in a timely way.
- Support invoicing and debt collection activities, including raising client invoices, tracking debtor balances, and helping secure payments on time.
- Maintain accurate and current finance records covering ledgers, employee expenses, and company credit card transactions.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including reports, statements, budgets, and management information.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes so that financial information is complete and accurate.
- Work with teams across the business to collect financial data and help ensure internal policy compliance.
- Help prepare VAT and audit documentation, keeping records organised and ready for review.
- Support wider finance projects and provide adaptable assistance wherever the team needs it.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring either relevant qualifications or some hands-on exposure to accounting or finance. You should be comfortable with numbers, able to think analytically, and consistently accurate in your work. Strong confidence using accounting systems and MS Excel is important, and experience with Sage 50 would be a plus.
You will need to work independently, while also contributing effectively within a small team. The environment moves quickly, so the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines while staying organised is essential. A willingness to learn and develop in finance is valued, along with an interest in the TV and entertainment space.
Additional information
This role combines day-to-day bookkeeping, admin support, reporting assistance, and process work. It is well suited to someone looking to build their career in finance while gaining exposure to a range of accounting responsibilities in the media sector.
