Facility Support & Maintenance All-Rounder

About the Role

This position is for a practical, hands-on person who can help maintain a safe, organised, and high-standard workplace. The role goes beyond routine cleaning and calls for someone who takes responsibility for the site, carries out small fixes on their own, and supports the production and warehouse teams whenever extra help is needed.

Working Style

The ideal person is comfortable working independently without close supervision. If an issue comes up, you notice it, address it safely, and keep the site running smoothly. Day-to-day work may include anything from a thorough yard clean-up to repairing minor damage or stepping in during a busy production shift.

Key Duties

• Carry out a deep clean and help restore order across the factory and yard.
• Undertake simple maintenance and repair tasks independently, such as painting and basic carpentry.
• Support other teams across the business whenever operational help is required.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and hazard-free working environment at all times.

What You Need to Bring

You should have at least 2 years of experience in a factory or industrial setting, along with practical handyman-style skills. A strong work ethic matters here: the company is looking for someone dependable, self-driven, and proud of keeping a site clean, functional, and well organised. A valid New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence is required, and you must be physically fit enough for manual work.

Employment Details

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a strong possibility of being extended. The role is scheduled for Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and the hourly pay rate is between $24 and $26, depending on experience.
