About the Role
Parsons is hiring an Executive, Community & Events for its Qatar operations. This position supports the planning and delivery of events and city activations that help animate the city and its assets, where the client maintains an interest. The role combines coordination, administration, and hands-on operational support, while working closely with internal teams, external partners, and service providers to ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the overall events and activation roadmap.
- Help prepare project schedules, activation logs, supporting paperwork, and licence letters.
- Make sure activation details are shared promptly with both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Join site inspections with service providers and relevant stakeholders to review and prepare event venues.
- Support event operations from setup through delivery and final site wrap-up.
- Participate in post-activation reviews, gather information, and assist the Lead in preparing activation reports.
- Draft correspondence, reports, and statistical summaries related to events and community activations.
- Coordinate with Marketing and PR teams on relevant activations and promotional needs.
- Work with government bodies and authorities on approvals, licences, and related activation requirements.
- Partner with Finance to help ensure service providers are paid according to agreed terms and timelines.
- Handle additional duties as required and manage priorities with limited supervision.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in events, community activation, arts management, planning, public administration, or a similar area.
- Strong understanding of Qatar’s events landscape and regulatory framework.
- Practical knowledge of project coordination, vendor management, and sponsorship processes.
- Awareness of city management and/or real estate operations.
- Good command of MS Office and strong presentation abilities.
- Preferred experience in Qatar or across the wider GCC region.
- Ability to communicate in both Arabic and English is preferred.
- Capability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
