Role overview
An established Irish-owned construction project management consultancy is hiring a seasoned Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director. The business has grown steadily for more than 20 years and works across several sectors on complex, high-profile assignments. The role is based in South Dublin and follows a partially hybrid working model, with some office attendance required.
The position is best suited to a polished, dependable professional who can operate with discretion, good judgement, and a calm approach in a fast-moving environment where priorities may shift quickly. You will act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director, helping to keep day-to-day business running smoothly while maintaining a high standard of professionalism with clients, colleagues, and outside contacts.
Compensation and working arrangement
The salary on offer is €65,000 to €75,000, depending on experience, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Working hours are Monday to Friday. Because of the nature of the support required, occasional availability outside standard hours and a flexible approach will be necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver full executive-level support to the Managing Director.
- Take ownership of a busy calendar and keep meetings and appointments organised.
- Plan domestic and overseas travel, accommodation, and detailed itineraries.
- Set up internal and external meetings and assist with occasional corporate events.
- Serve as the initial contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a professional welcome.
- Keep meeting rooms and office areas presented to a high standard.
- Manage everyday office activity and coordinate with suppliers and service partners.
- Assist the broader team with administrative tasks when needed.
- Support health and safety compliance and general office administration.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience supporting senior leaders, ideally in construction, property, project management, or professional services. You should be comfortable working independently, handling competing priorities, and remaining effective in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisation, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills are essential. The role also calls for a professional and approachable manner, confidence when dealing with senior stakeholders and clients, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. High levels of discretion, integrity, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a positive attitude are important.
