Role overview

The Estimator plays an important early role in the estimating and bidding workflow and helps set the pace for the rest of the project. This position is suited to someone who is self-motivated, organized, detail-focused, comfortable adjusting priorities, and able to manage the workday with flexibility. The role also calls for someone who enjoys solving problems and collaborating with others to find practical solutions.

What you will do

• Contribute to the initial stages of estimating and bid development.
• Review project specifications and design drawings to understand the scope of work.
• Work with engineers to gather project insight and support accurate estimating.
• Partner with contractors and vendors to provide timely consultation and information.
• Help keep projects moving by responding to deadlines and changing needs.

Preferred background

Core & Main is looking for candidates with bid preparation or similar experience, estimating experience, and familiarity with estimating tools such as PlanSwift. A working understanding of waterworks systems and industry experience are also preferred.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.20 to $28.85.
