Role Overview
We are hiring a direct-response creative writer to own the concepts, hooks, leads, and scripts that power growth for a fast-scaling all-natural supplement brand. The business produced US$5M in its first year and is currently on pace to exceed US$40M+ in year two. This is a single opening and the preferred start date is as soon as possible.
This position is for someone who already thinks in terms of lead, mechanism, awareness level, and VSL. If those are not part of your working vocabulary, this is probably not the right fit yet.
You will work closely with the founder, who has deep experience in e-commerce, Meta advertising, and DTC growth. The role gives you direct access to decision-making, real ownership over copy, and feedback from someone who has managed major ad spend across multiple brands.
What the Role Owns
Your core responsibility is to create the words that sell. You will decide the angle, write the lead, shape the script, and set the rationale behind each concept. Editors and UGC creators will turn your writing into final assets, while you stay focused on the copy that drives conversion. Every ad begins with your thinking, and every winner is expected to compound.
Compensation Structure
This is a base-plus-upside role with no ceiling on earnings. Compensation is tied to performance and the value you create.
- For the first 90 days, you receive a stronger guaranteed base while you ramp up and learn the brand.
- If you move faster through the ramp, you can reach the uncapped earnings structure sooner.
- After the ramp period, the base becomes lower and a tiered percentage of monthly Meta ad spend becomes part of the pay model.
- At the current pace of growth, strong performers may reach a year-one total compensation range of US$130K–300K+.
- There is no earnings cap; higher impact is expected to translate into higher pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-converting leads, hooks, scripts, VSLs, and advertorials that are built around a clear mechanism and optimized for performance.
- Study competitors and market trends through Meta Ad Library and TikTok to identify what is working and why it works structurally.
- Develop new creative angles and storylines based on real customer insight, awareness level, and market sophistication.
- Prepare production briefs that are clear enough for editors to execute without needing additional guidance.
- Review performance data such as CTR, hook rate, hold rate, and ROAS, then decide what to cut and what to scale.
- Produce multiple variants of winning concepts, including fresh hooks, leads, VSL cuts, and advertorial versions.
- Own the creative workflow end to end using Airtable.
Profile We Are Looking For
- You are first and foremost a direct-response writer who understands hook/lead/mechanism/proof/offer structure and can explain why copy works.
- You have strong creative judgment and can clearly identify what is effective, what is weak, and why.
- You recognize recurring patterns across winning ads and can translate those patterns into new opportunities.
- You are highly detail-oriented and notice the small changes that materially affect conversion.
- You are comfortable taking bold bets and shipping asymmetric ideas rather than only safe ones.
- You are not emotionally attached to ideas once the data shows they are underperforming.
- You prefer high-volume execution and rapid iteration over waiting for perfection.
- You take initiative and can run with a goal without close micromanagement.
- You focus on output and care about the quality and volume of copy you ship.
Experience and Fit
E-commerce exposure is a plus. If you have not worked in it, you should be genuinely obsessed with understanding how DTC brands sell through words, funnels, and VSLs. The company will train you on the data side and on Meta-specific processes, but the direct-response instinct must already be there.

No portfolio or cover letter is required. The hiring team wants to evaluate how you think. A code word is requested at the end of the video and in the application form.
