Role overview

This position is for a courier with DHL International (UK) Ltd based at Unit B, Roundway House, Worcester, WR4 0SZ. The role sits at the centre of the delivery operation and is suited to someone who likes being active, meeting customers, and helping keep the supply chain moving reliably.

Working hours and pay

You will work Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 17:15, with a total of 45 hours each week. The salary is £33,345 per year, which works out at £14.25 per hour.

Holiday entitlement

You will receive 22 days of holiday each year, increasing with length of service up to a maximum of 26 days.

What the job involves

The courier represents the business on the road and is responsible for making sure deliveries and collections happen smoothly, safely, and on schedule while delivering a strong customer experience.

• Carry out deliveries and collections in a safe, efficient, and punctual manner
• Create positive customer relationships and help improve the overall service experience
• Organise daily routes so delivery commitments are met within the required time windows
• Comply with safety, security, and manual handling procedures at all times
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle to a high standard
• Recognise possible security issues and identify opportunities for additional sales

What success looks like

Success in this role means consistently providing excellent service, meeting time-critical collection and delivery targets, staying organised when priorities shift, and being comfortable working independently while solving issues as they arise.

Skills and experience needed

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, know the local area well, and be physically capable of handling parcels and working on their feet. A full UK driving licence is required. Previous experience in multi-drop delivery or customer-facing work would be useful, but it is not essential.
