About the Role

The Community team supports Notion’s mission through a worldwide network of builders who teach, contribute, and help others across different workflows and crafts. Through ambassador and campus leader programs, as well as the wider Notion community, the team is creating a global ecosystem where people share knowledge and help others get more value from Notion.

This role sits within Community Operations and is responsible for the systems, tools, and measurement that allow the community ecosystem to grow globally while maintaining high quality and a strong human experience. The position works closely with program owners, regional leads, Marketing, and Finance to build the operational foundation that keeps community programs running smoothly and scaling over time.

The role may be based in San Francisco or New York City, and the team works together in office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The company expects strong collaboration during these anchor days.

Key Outcomes

• Create the operational framework behind Notion Community, including workflows, systems, infrastructure, and tools that support consistent global scaling.
• Establish Notion as the main source of truth for community operations through databases, automations, dashboards, templates, and documentation that improve visibility and handoffs.
• Manage the operational side of community programs, including onboarding, member support, reimbursements, swag handling, vendor management, and event logistics across regions.
• Set standards for measurement and reporting, including data quality, operational benchmarks, and recurring insights that help turn community activity into decisions.
• Improve speed and scalability by using integrations, automations, and AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual work and let program teams focus on community relationships and value creation.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong hands-on expertise with Notion, including building scalable databases, workflows, automations, and operational systems that can grow with the program.
• Comfort working with modern community and operations tools such as Slack, Luma, Zapier, SwagUp, Tremendous, Discord, and Hex, along with sound judgment on when to simplify or expand the stack.
• A strong ownership mindset and a bias toward action, with the ability to identify gaps, build new processes, and improve systems continuously.
• Excellent operational judgment and sharp attention to detail, especially when managing complex workflows and maintaining quality.
• Comfort using Notion AI and other AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, support, and team leverage.
• Experience supporting member-facing programs or communities where responsiveness, relationships, and experience quality are critical.
• Experience working across regions or globally, with an understanding of how to maintain consistency while allowing for localization across markets.

Compensation

The base salary range for candidates based in San Francisco or New York City is estimated at $136,000 to $152,000 per year. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as location, scope of the role, and the candidate’s experience and expertise. In addition to cash compensation, the company offers equity and benefits.
