Position Summary
The Clinical Research Data Assistant supports clinical studies by entering, checking, and maintaining study information in EDC and CTMS platforms. The position works closely with site staff to help with study initiation, patient enrollment, data accuracy, and the overall success of research activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter clinical research information into electronic data capture systems.
- Compare source records against study entries and convert information into electronic form.
- Check data for completeness, consistency, and correctness.
- Support data cleanup efforts and help resolve data queries.
- Keep study files, regulatory binders, and research records organized and up to date.
- Safeguard participant privacy and maintain strict confidentiality of research documentation.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed.
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of medical terms and common clinical procedures.
- Understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory expectations.
- Strong organization skills and careful attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office along with EDC and CTMS systems.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Professional conduct and a strong respect for patient privacy.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in data entry, healthcare administration, or research is preferred.
- Interest in building a career in clinical research is important.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is USD 18 to 20 per hour in the Bastrop-Washington area.
