Buying Assistant, Multibrand

Role overview

This full-time, fully on-site position is based at the company headquarters in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The role pays $26.50 to $31.25 per hour and supports the buying team across the Men’s RTW + Accessories, Women’s RTW + Accessories, and Lifestyle categories. The main objective is to help keep merchandise moving smoothly into stores and online, while strengthening the brand’s omnichannel performance, particularly across digital and social channels. The role requires a strong grasp of retail math, Excel, and broader retail market dynamics.

What you will do

You will work closely with Assistant and Associate Buyers to handle the administrative and operational work needed to keep product flowing correctly and on time. A major part of the job is owning the product lifecycle from purchase order setup through pricing and data accuracy.

• Handle purchase order creation, entry, and style setup from start to finish.
• Enter UPCs and keep pricing accurate across all global markets.
• Check product, pricing, and purchase order information across systems to make sure records are correct.
• Monitor merchandise receipts, store transfers, and inventory movement to help achieve seasonal sell-through targets.
• Act as a communication bridge between Stores, Store Operations, Logistics, and Accounts Payable to keep deliveries on track and resolve issues quickly.
• Coordinate weekly product shoots with Photography and Ecommerce teams so products are presented correctly online.
• Look for ways to simplify, improve, and streamline buying-related processes.
• Support the growth of the brand’s online and social presence while contributing to seasonal sales and inventory goals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings at least one year of experience in buying, merchandising, planning, or another related retail function. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial retail setting and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing accuracy.

• At least 1 year of experience in buying, merchandising, planning, or a similar retail role.
• Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and business analysis.
• Confident use of Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred; Tableau experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent organization, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to perform well in a high-speed, entrepreneurial retail environment.
• Understanding of the luxury fashion market and current industry trends.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
