Role overview
This opportunity is for a Business Systems Analyst supporting a high-volume retail special-order operation within a manufacturing/product environment. The position suits someone who is comfortable with analysis, process documentation, issue investigation, and collaboration across business and technical groups. It is not a software development position; the focus is on functional and analytical work.
The assignment requires 3–4 days on site in Tampa, Florida.
What you'll work on
- Analyzing business systems and configuration behavior
- Collecting, clarifying, and documenting requirements
- Supporting QA, UAT, and broader testing activities
- Managing tickets, backlog items, and related tracking work
- Investigating issues, troubleshooting problems, and improving processes
- Working in Agile and Scrum-based delivery environments
- Partnering with both business stakeholders and technical teams
Experience and background preferred
- Hands-on work in business systems analysis or functional analysis
- Strong Excel capability, including VLOOKUPs, comparisons, and reporting
- Experience gathering requirements and producing clear documentation
- Exposure to product configuration, ERP systems, quoting or order platforms, or custom product workflows
- Familiarity with QA, UAT, regression testing, or integration testing
- Experience with ticketing tools and backlog coordination
- Understanding of SDLC concepts and configuration management
- Background in retail systems, manufacturing systems, or related environments
