Bartender

Role Overview

This position is for a full-time bartender at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Batumi, Georgia. The role sits within the food and beverage function and is non-management in nature.

What You’ll Do

• Mix and prepare guest beverages using the brand’s recipe standards and correct measuring methods.
• Open, pour, and serve wine and champagne bottles as required.
• Keep the bar, bar equipment, tables, and related work areas clean, organized, and in proper condition.
• Prepare fresh drink garnishes and keep ice, glassware, and paper products stocked.
• Move supplies to the bar setup area and wash used glassware.
• Clear used service items from the bar and tables and place them in the correct collection area.
• Track replenishment needs and communicate them promptly.
• Handle all payment types, balance the cash bank at shift end, finish cashier reports, resolve differences, submit receipts, and secure the cash bank.
• Safeguard liquor, beer, wine, coolers, cabinets, and storage spaces.
• Complete all closing procedures at the end of the shift.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures, and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential company information and assets.
• Greet guests warmly, respond to service needs, and thank them sincerely.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers.
• Build positive working relationships, support the team, and respond constructively to concerns.
• Maintain quality standards and complete other duties assigned by supervisors.

Work Conditions

The job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking during the shift. It also requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing items up to 50 pounds without assistance, along with frequent bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, and moving through tight, elevated, uneven, or slippery areas such as stairs and service ramps.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or an equivalent GED is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is needed.
