Role overview
Element is hiring an Associate Test Technician to support a fast-growing team. The position involves carrying out both routine and occasional non-routine testing tasks within the assigned department, with direct supervision, while ensuring test outcomes are delivered accurately and on time.
This role is located in Kaki Bukit, Singapore.
Key responsibilities
- Support the setup and upkeep of geotechnical monitoring equipment such as inclinometers, piezometers, and settlement markers.
- Gather monitoring readings directly from project sites and document them carefully.
- Inspect instruments on a regular basis to confirm they are functioning properly.
- Help prepare summaries and reports based on collected data.
- Follow all safety procedures and site rules without exception.
- Coordinate with engineers and project staff to assist monitoring operations.
- Store and arrange instruments and tools so they remain accessible and ready for use.
Skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring around 2 years of experience in testing or a closely related area. A basic understanding of testing principles and strong computer skills are needed. Prior exposure to construction environments is important.
The role also calls for someone with a strong quality mindset, persistence in demanding conditions, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with limited supervision. Good organization, communication, self-motivation, and a collaborative approach are also important.
