Role overview
This position supports PepsiCo’s field sales and customer setup activity by coordinating the collection, review, and submission of customer activation documents such as credit applications, resale certificates, W9s, and contract or beverage agreements. The role also ensures customers are assigned to the correct price groups and key accounts, and that requested updates to sales methods and delivery schedules are processed accurately.
The job requires close coordination with multiple partner teams, including MBS CIA, MBS DEA, Finance, Equipment, Resolution FSCs, pricing, and accounts receivable, to resolve activation and maintenance issues efficiently.
Core responsibilities
- Monitor the SPA Box and respond to all requests within a 48-hour service window, deciding the next steps and involving the right partner teams when necessary.
- Coordinate with supporting functions to carry out customer maintenance tasks requested by the field, such as name, contact, and address changes; route maintenance; delivery frequency and delivery-day updates; call-day changes; route changes; sales method updates; and location changes.
- Gather and submit resale certificates for both new and existing customers, ensuring the MBS CIA team updates them accurately and on time.
- Work with partner teams to manage customer inactivation and ownership transfer requests.
- Handle requests to add purchase orders.
- Confirm that customers are set up on the correct payment method, including charge, check, e-check, and PAD, by making sure the required forms are complete, accurate, and submitted through the proper process for both new setups and ongoing maintenance.
- Collect the information needed for vendor packets, customer packets, and COI/MOI requests.
- Update customer wiring details for national flag, business segment, and key account requirements, along with price group changes when requested or required.
- Collect supplier W9s, verify them for completeness, and submit them for supplier number creation across customers, sponsorships, and true suppliers.
- Manage large-scale COF setups or ownership-change requests as aligned with FSC supervisors and sales leaders.
- Provide support for fairs in the West Division, where applicable.
- Keep sales teams informed in a timely manner about request status, whether completed or still awaiting additional input.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings 5 to 6.5 years of experience as a mid-level analytics professional, preferably in a large consumer goods organization. A bachelor’s degree in finance or economics is required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, is expected, along with at least 1 year of hands-on experience using SAP and Oracle. The role also requires an eagerness to learn PepsiCo-specific systems.
Success in this position depends on being highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working to strict SLAs and deadlines. The candidate should have strong time management abilities, be able to juggle multiple priorities, and plan work effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication is essential, along with a customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally to different audiences. The role also calls for flexibility, sound organization, curiosity to ask the right questions, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership. Candidates should be able to interpret multiple data points, draw conclusions, and turn them into recommendations and action plans.
