Role Purpose
This position supports the rollout and ongoing monitoring of safety measures for civil construction projects within an airport setting. The role is centered on maintaining compliance with safety rules, carrying out inspections, identifying risks, and helping create a secure work environment during project execution. The role works closely with the Associate - Project Safety and other teams involved in the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Associate to put in place and review safety procedures for civil construction work, ensuring they reflect accepted industry practices.
- Suggest changes to safety processes whenever site risks, regulations, or project conditions evolve.
- Carry out regular daily checks across construction areas to confirm that workers are following approved safety standards and methods.
- Spot hazards during inspections, escalate them promptly, and recommend immediate steps to reduce exposure to risk.
- Support response activities when incidents occur by helping secure the affected area, recording details, and assisting with the investigation process.
- Ensure incident and safety reports are completed correctly and sent to the relevant stakeholders on time.
- Help plan and take part in safety awareness and training sessions for workers on regulations, equipment use, and emergency response.
- Track how effective the training is by observing site practices and sharing feedback to strengthen overall safety behavior.
- Keep safety registers, inspection logs, and incident records updated and accurate for both internal and statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing documentation needed for regulatory reviews and audits.
- Coordinate with internal teams including project safety leadership, construction, engineering, operations, compliance, and health & safety functions.
- Interact with external parties such as regulators, contractors, and suppliers as required for safety-related coordination.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Safety Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety, NEBOSH, or an equivalent safety credential is preferred.
Experience Required
The role calls for 3 to 5 years of experience in project safety within the construction sector, ideally with exposure to civil engineering work in airports or infrastructure projects.

This role is based on-site in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is a full-time position.
