Architectural Engineer

Job Summary

This role is for an experienced site architectural engineer who will take charge of architectural work across construction projects. The position calls for someone who can make sure all site activities align with approved drawings, project specifications, quality expectations, and scheduled milestones, while working closely with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee architectural site activities and confirm that execution matches approved drawings and project requirements.
• Check architectural shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements before implementation.
• Work in coordination with structural, MEP, and other project disciplines to keep site activities aligned.
• Carry out routine site visits to assess workmanship, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Spot site issues early and recommend practical technical solutions to avoid delays.
• Track contractor progress and help ensure targets and milestones are met on time.
• Make sure work follows local regulations, building codes, and health and safety rules.
• Prepare inspection requests, snag lists, and punch lists, and follow through on close-out actions.
• Review completed work before consultant or client inspections take place.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input, progress reports, and updates.
• Confirm quantities and assist with variation and change order assessments when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of site work, inspections, approvals, and correspondence.
• Support final handover by ensuring all architectural work and related documentation are completed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture is required.
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience supervising architectural works on site is needed.
• Background in commercial, residential, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects is expected.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, architectural finishes, and material standards is necessary.
• Knowledge of both local and international building codes and standards is required.
• Professional engineering registration or an equivalent accreditation is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings is important.
• Understanding of QA/QC processes and site inspection procedures is needed.
• Experience using project management tools would be an added advantage.
