Voice Specialist

Role overview

The Voice Specialist will oversee the commercial and operational performance of voice interconnect activities in Doha. This position is responsible for protecting margins, managing termination costs, and tracking voice profit and loss by monitoring revenue, costs, and margin outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage voice termination costs while keeping a close eye on revenue, cost, and margin performance.
• Work with the technology team to monitor voice quality indicators and maintain service performance.
• Partner with MA&RA teams to ensure billing is accurate, reconciliations are completed correctly, and disputes are handled effectively.
• Maintain ongoing coordination with international carriers and voice operators.
• Lead negotiations on corridor agreements with operators and carriers across APAC and the Middle East.
• Handle domestic voice commercial and operational matters.
• Own the commercial process for traffic and billing management.
• Coordinate with finance to make sure interconnect costs are recorded correctly.
• Support any other project, assignment, or activity delegated by the line manager.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Telecom or IT is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in voice interconnect is mandatory.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders across functions to deliver marketing plans and related objectives.
• Solid knowledge of voice products and strong working relationships with voice carriers and operators.
• Practical expertise in numbering ranges, short codes, and local regulatory requirements.
