Visual Merchandiser

Role overview

As a Visual Merchandiser at H&M, you will help shape a consistent, inspiring in-store journey by applying brand visual standards and supporting commercial performance. You will work closely with the store team to improve presentation, strengthen customer experience, and contribute to sales growth while reflecting the company’s values in day-to-day work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out visual, styling, and commercial presentation work according to store guidelines and scheduled plans to elevate the shopping experience and support sales.
• Review sales results, monitor stock availability, care for garments properly, and identify visual and commercial improvement areas in partnership with Store Management.
• Use trend awareness and competitor knowledge to coach store colleagues and help them deliver a stronger customer experience.
• Represent both yourself and the brand professionally in every customer interaction.
• Support Sales Market teams with store expansion initiatives.

Team and working environment

You will be part of the store organization, working alongside colleagues such as Sales Advisors, Department Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Cash Office Responsible, Delivery Responsible, and other Visual Merchandisers where applicable. You will also collaborate with the wider Area Team across stores to share insights and support collective success. The role contributes to creating a welcoming environment where customers can discover styles that help them express their individuality.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on visual merchandising and commercial experience in a fast-moving environment, with a practical, solution-focused approach. You should understand how to review sales data, interpret selling performance, and act on reports to improve results. The role also calls for strong creativity, curiosity, initiative, clear communication, and the ability to guide and motivate store teams. A flexible, action-driven mindset and a genuine passion for fashion and customer experience are important.
