UI/UX Designer

Role Overview

Virtusa is seeking a UI/UX Designer in Dubai to shape digital experiences for Open Finance products. The role focuses on creating smooth, compliant, and user-friendly journeys across consent management, account aggregation, payment initiation, and secure data-sharing.

What You Will Design

• End-to-end user journeys for Open Finance solutions, including consent, account aggregation, payment initiation, and data-sharing flows.
• Wireframes, journey maps, prototypes, and polished UI screens for web and mobile experiences.
• Interfaces that simplify complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear interactions.
• Experiences that work across a multi-party ecosystem involving banks, fintechs, third-party providers, corporates, and developers.

Regulatory and Compliance Focus

• UX solutions that follow Open Finance and Open Banking standards, consent structures, and privacy expectations.
• Designs aligned with local and international regulatory requirements, including UAE Open Finance frameworks, DIFC considerations, and GDPR-style consent principles.
• Close collaboration with legal and compliance teams to ensure clarity around consent, data usage, and user trust.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Work with product owners, engineers, API architects, and business stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Partner with external fintechs and ecosystem participants to maintain a consistent user experience across connected platforms.
• Take part in design critiques, sprint planning, and usability testing activities.
• Use research findings, behavior data, and user feedback to improve adoption and refine journeys.
• Support the growth and upkeep of design systems and UI libraries that match brand and platform standards.
• Maintain a consistent experience across multiple Open Finance products and touchpoints.

Experience Needed

• At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, ideally within banking, fintech, or broader financial services.
• Practical experience designing Open Banking, Open Finance, or API-based platforms.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates complex workflows, data-rich dashboards, and consent-led experiences.
• Ability to work with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
• Good command of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience working with Open Finance APIs, developer portals, or partner ecosystems.
• Understanding of payments, corporate banking, treasury, or financial data products.
• Exposure to UAE or GCC financial regulations, or familiarity with global Open Banking standards.
