Role overview
Fulcrum Digital Inc is hiring a UI Tester to focus on the quality of web-based user interfaces. The role centers on checking that interfaces work correctly, feel intuitive to use, meet accessibility expectations, and stay visually consistent across environments.
Key responsibilities
- Check web UI features for correct behaviour, ease of use, accessibility, and visual consistency.
- Plan and run manual test cases using product requirements, design files, and acceptance criteria.
- Spot defects, record them clearly, and include steps that make reproduction straightforward.
- Confirm UI behaviour across different browsers, devices, and screen resolutions.
- Review early-stage designs and requirements to identify testability concerns, usability issues, and edge cases.
- Work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and designers throughout the delivery cycle.
- Support regression testing before releases and contribute to release approval activities.
- Help strengthen QA workflows, test checklists, and overall test coverage over time.
Required experience and skills
You should bring at least 3 years of practical experience testing web user interfaces. Strong manual testing ability in modern web applications is essential, along with hands-on exposure to React and/or Angular-based applications. A solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals is needed, as well as experience with cross-browser and responsive testing. Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, or similar systems, is expected. The role also requires the ability to turn requirements and design concepts into effective test scenarios, a sharp eye for detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have experience
- Practical exposure to UI automation, especially with Playwright.
- Experience with additional automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing, including WCAG basics, screen readers, and contrast checks.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Basic understanding of API testing for end-to-end validation.
- Experience testing complex, data-rich, or workflow-heavy interfaces.
