About Tracksuit
Tracksuit gives brands a way to demonstrate the value of brand-building. The company equips marketing teams with the data they need to make better decisions, build credibility internally, and grow businesses that are more durable. Tracksuit is expanding quickly across New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and is supported by leading investors. The team, known as Trackstars, values collaboration, ambition, and creating work that genuinely makes a difference. The culture is built around high care and high performance: aiming for excellence while looking after one another.
Role overview
This is the company’s first Talent Manager position for the Northern Hemisphere and will be based in the New York office, reporting to the Global Talent Lead. The role covers three main areas: hiring strong talent across the US and UK, ensuring new joiners are onboarded effectively, and helping implement People initiatives locally. It is a varied, hands-on role with a mix of recruiting, onboarding, office experience, and people operations. The person in this role will represent the People function in the Northern Hemisphere and help every new hire feel prepared and supported from day one.
Tracksuit is looking for a commercially minded recruiter who enjoys working with people, building culture, and getting involved wherever needed.
What you will do
- Run end-to-end recruitment for roles in the US and UK, including posting roles, sourcing candidates, interviewing, negotiating offers, and preparing contracts.
- Work closely with hiring managers to clarify hiring needs, write engaging job descriptions, and guide them toward a consistent, high-quality hiring process.
- Create and maintain a strong future-talent pipeline through proactive sourcing on LinkedIn, job boards, professional communities, and other network channels.
- Make sure candidates have a smooth and positive experience throughout the hiring journey.
- Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging efforts early in the hiring funnel.
- Lead welcoming onboarding experiences that reflect Tracksuit’s values from the first day.
- Ensure new hires in the Northern Hemisphere feel connected, prepared, and excited to begin.
- Manage the New York office environment so it stays welcoming, inclusive, and energetic.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to keep office supplies stocked and the workplace running efficiently.
- Act as the link between the global People team and the Northern Hemisphere, adapting and rolling out People programmes for the US and UK context.
- Help ensure compliance with relevant US and UK laws and policies.
- Strengthen employer brand through events, social media, partnerships, and related initiatives.
- Use ATS and recruitment tools effectively, and track data to support better decisions.
- Continuously improve processes and experiences by identifying what can be simplified or made better.
What you will need
- At least 5 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in a startup or fast-growing company.
- Experience managing a busy go-to-market hiring portfolio, including Customer, Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships roles.
- A proactive sourcing approach with a habit of building talent pools before hiring needs arise.
- Solid experience handling full-cycle recruitment across multiple markets.
- Exposure to onboarding design or people operations, or a strong interest in that area.
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and build relationships across all levels.
- Confidence using ATS platforms and recruitment tools, ideally Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Awareness of startup hiring realities, including how to explain benefits such as ESOP to candidates.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve sourcing, screening, writing, and process efficiency.
- A thoughtful, creative mindset focused on problem-solving and process improvement.
- Experience recruiting in both the US and UK is a plus.
- An existing network within US tech, startup, or marketing communities is also an advantage.
- Familiarity with HiBob or similar HRIS systems is beneficial.
Perks and benefits
- Employee share ownership from day one, with ESOP available to all Trackstars.
- Health and wellness support, including a yearly $300 wellness bonus, access to a premium EAP platform, and 6 weeks of PTO.
- Parental leave benefits, including 12 weeks of paid parental leave beyond legal entitlement, extra sick leave for IVF, and a gradual return-to-work option.
- Learning and development budget to support professional growth.
- Flexible working model with office-first expectations but day-to-day flexibility.
- The chance to build the Northern Hemisphere People function from the ground up in a high-trust, high-performance culture.
- A Tracksuit to wear on joining, designed for speed, comfort, and a practical, informal style.
- Annual compensation reviews and rolling promotions when responsibilities increase.
- Generous ESOP as part of the overall rewards package.
Additional information
Tracksuit may use AI tools during parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analysing resumes, and checking responses for possible inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are always made by people. Candidates who do not meet every requirement are still encouraged to apply if they have the right mindset and most of the relevant experience.
Working style
The role is based in the New York office and is described as office-first, with flexibility in day-to-day working. The company values an energetic, collaborative, and practical approach, and the role will involve a wide mix of tasks across hiring, onboarding, office support, and people initiatives.
