Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia focuses on keeping swimmers and visitors safe within the academy’s water-based facilities. The selected candidate will monitor pool activity, apply safety procedures, prevent incidents, and act promptly in emergencies. The role also includes routine inspection of pool equipment, water conditions, and safety supplies, along with reporting any risks or maintenance concerns. In addition, the person will guide swimmers, assist during swim classes and training activities, and take part in safety drills and periodic refresher training.

Key Duties

• Watch over pool areas continuously to maintain swimmer and visitor safety.
• Enforce pool rules and safety standards consistently.
• Identify and reduce risks before they lead to accidents.
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Inspect pool equipment, water quality, and safety materials on a regular basis.
• Report hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements without delay.
• Offer clear instruction and support to swimmers when needed.
• Assist swim programs, lessons, and training sessions.
• Participate in safety practice sessions and ongoing refresher training.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Excellent swimming skills and proven water-safety capability, including rescue and initial response techniques.
• Valid lifeguard certification issued by a Saudi lifesaving federation, along with current CPR, AED, and first aid credentials.
• Working knowledge of pool safety rules, emergency response procedures, and basic aquatic facility upkeep.
• Strong communication and people skills to work well with children, young people, and adults in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to stay attentive, composed, and decisive in stressful situations.
• Professional attitude, dependability, and a strong commitment to academy policies and safety expectations.
• Prior experience in lifeguarding, swim instruction, or a related aquatic safety position is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends according to program needs.
