Role summary
This position oversees the full supply chain flow across planning, manufacturing coordination, inventory control, procurement alignment, logistics, and distribution. The goal is to keep products available without interruption, improve cost efficiency, maintain service levels, ensure process compliance, and drive ongoing operational improvements across brewery and supply network operations.
Supply chain planning and operations
- Handle complete supply planning activities, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, replenishment planning, and inventory control.
- Maintain the right stock availability across breweries, depots, and distribution locations.
- Sync production plans with sales forecasts and market demand trends.
- Track supply risks, plant capacity limitations, and material availability issues.
Manufacturing and brewery coordination
- Partner with brewery teams to support smooth production execution.
- Make sure production plans, quality expectations, and operational KPIs are followed.
- Coordinate with contract breweries and external manufacturing partners.
Logistics and distribution
- Manage transport planning and warehouse operations.
- Work on reducing distribution cost, improving route efficiency, and strengthening delivery performance.
- Support on-time dispatches and customer fulfillment requirements.
Inventory management
- Keep ideal inventory levels for raw materials, packaging inputs, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Help cut down slow-moving and obsolete stock.
- Maintain stock accuracy through periodic checks, reconciliation, and governance controls.
Operational excellence and improvement
- Drive continuous improvement programs using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma approaches.
- Investigate root causes behind operational losses and supply interruptions.
- Promote standard methods and best practices across all locations.
Reporting and KPI monitoring
- Create dashboards and monitor key supply chain performance indicators.
- Review operational results and suggest actions for improvement.
- Present monthly business reviews and performance updates to leadership.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality teams.
- Support new product development launches and commercialization efforts.
Compliance and governance
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and audit standards.
- Maintain SOP discipline and assist with internal and external audits.
Qualifications
A degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field is expected. An MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred.
Desired skills and competencies
The role calls for strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, leadership, stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and a strong execution mindset. Technical exposure to supply planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, warehouse and logistics management, ERP/planning tools, data analytics, dashboarding, and Lean/TPM/Six Sigma methods is valuable.
