Role Overview
ROCC Global is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for an onsite, full-time permanent position in the United Kingdom. The salary starts at £48,000 per year, with final pay dependent on experience. The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
About ROCC Global
ROCC Global is a privately owned partner in industrial minerals trading and supply chain services. The company supports manufacturers, contractors, and industrial processors with sourcing, procurement, logistics, and end-to-end supply chain support for mission-critical raw materials.
With operations spanning Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, the business combines vetted supplier relationships, local market insight, practical supply chain know-how, full procurement and logistics coordination, and dependable, compliant, and cost-conscious mineral supply.
The company’s focus is to help customers lower supply disruption, improve material availability, and receive specification-grade industrial minerals with confidence.
What the Role Involves
The selected candidate will manage and improve global supply chain activity across sourcing, procurement, shipping, customs coordination, inventory monitoring, customer order fulfilment, and final delivery.
This position requires close coordination with suppliers, procurement teams, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs partners, logistics providers, customers, and internal functions.
Core Responsibilities
You will take ownership of supply chain operations from source to destination, ensuring materials are procured, shipped, cleared, and delivered to meet customer needs.
You will track shipment movement, inventory levels, stock availability, delivery timelines, and service performance, while helping maintain reliable and cost-effective movement of industrial minerals across international markets.
You will work with freight forwarders, shipping lines, hauliers, customs agents, warehouses, ports, and logistics partners to manage import/export bookings, transport planning, documentation, transit monitoring, and issue resolution.
You will coordinate closely with suppliers, customers, finance, operations, and commercial teams to support purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery instructions, order updates, and relationship management.
You will also monitor inventory, assist with demand and supply planning, prepare reports and shipment updates, maintain accurate operational records, and use data to spot bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.
In addition, you will look for ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost, strengthen supply chain resilience, and support better controls, workflows, and reporting across sourcing, shipping, customs, warehousing, and customer delivery.
Candidate Profile
The ideal person will be well organised, commercially aware, analytical, and confident handling complex supply chain activity in an international or industrial setting. You should be comfortable juggling multiple stakeholders, solving operational problems, and keeping records accurate in a fast-moving environment.
Success in this role requires the ability to balance cost, quality, delivery, compliance, customer expectations, supplier reliability, operational efficiency, and supply chain risk.
Essential Requirements
You must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, international trade, freight forwarding, import/export, or a similar operational role.
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, International Trade, or a related discipline is required.
You should have a solid understanding of supply chain coordination, logistics planning, order fulfilment, supplier communication, and delivery management.
Experience dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, shipping lines, customs agents, or customers is important, along with strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are expected, as well as good commercial judgement around cost, delivery, service, compliance, and risk.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, are needed, together with the ability to produce reports, review performance data, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail are essential.
Desirable Background
Experience in industrial minerals, raw materials, commodities, aggregates, ceramics, refractories, construction materials, mining, quarrying, chemicals, or bulk materials would be an advantage.
Knowledge of international trade, import/export processes, Incoterms, freight, logistics, customs, and supply chain compliance would also be useful.
Hands-on experience with ERP, procurement, CRM, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain systems is preferred, along with familiarity with material specifications, quality documents, supplier compliance records, and customer delivery requirements.
Exposure to overseas suppliers, international freight partners, cross-border supply chains, freight cost review, landed cost analysis, supplier performance, shipment performance, or inventory analysis would be beneficial.
Benefits
ROCC Global offers a starting salary from £48,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with full-time permanent employment in an onsite setup.
Additional benefits include a company pension, paid annual leave plus UK bank holidays, laptop and phone provision where needed, ongoing training and professional development, and the chance to contribute to a growing international industrial minerals business.
You will have direct involvement in global supply chain operations, logistics coordination, customer order execution, and process improvement, supported by a collaborative environment with access to senior leadership and operational expertise.
Working Arrangements
This role is based onsite and follows a Monday to Friday schedule. The position requires regular communication with internal teams as well as suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, customs partners, and other external stakeholders.
You should be comfortable managing daily supply chain activity, reacting quickly to operational issues, and ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
