Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator

Role overview

The Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator supports the smooth running of supply chain and logistics activities from end to end. The position focuses on moving goods, materials, and inventory efficiently while working with internal stakeholders and outside partners to strengthen logistics performance, improve stock accuracy, and support strong service levels.

Core duties

• Plan and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, transportation schedules, and delivery tracking.
• Stay in regular contact with suppliers, freight providers, warehouses, and distribution partners to help ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Monitor shipment progress, troubleshoot transport-related problems, and assist with backup planning to reduce operational interruptions.
• Maintain inventory records, watch stock movement, and support stock reconciliation activities.
• Make sure shipping, receiving, and warehouse paperwork is complete and correct.
• Prepare logistics reports, review supply chain performance data, spot bottlenecks, and suggest practical process improvements that raise efficiency and lower costs.
• Work closely with procurement, operations, warehouse, finance, and customer service teams to keep supply chain processes aligned.
• Support demand planning, inventory control, supplier performance tracking, and standard operating procedure implementation.
• Follow company policies as well as applicable transportation and safety regulations.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement projects, supply chain optimisation efforts, and system enhancements using operational data and performance insights.

Qualifications and capabilities

The role calls for a solid grasp of supply chain management, logistics coordination, inventory control, procurement, warehouse operations, and transportation management. Candidates should be comfortable using spreadsheets, ERP platforms, warehouse management systems, inventory software, and logistics tracking tools. Exposure to supply chain analytics or business intelligence tools is considered an advantage.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability is important for reviewing logistics performance, monitoring inventory levels, identifying issues, and recommending workable improvements. Good knowledge of shipping documents, freight coordination, order fulfilment, demand planning, supplier coordination, regulatory compliance, and supply chain best practices is also expected.

Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills are needed to coordinate effectively across teams and with external partners. The job also requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, time management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
