Supply Chain Director

About the Company

Consumer Connection, Inc. is looking for a Supply Chain Director to own procurement strategy and oversee logistics for both fresh and frozen product distribution. This role is best suited to someone with strong purchasing expertise in food manufacturing, commercial judgment, and a track record of creating scalable processes, strengthening teams, and driving measurable outcomes.

About the Role

In this position, you will work closely with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and executive leadership to strengthen supplier partnerships, lower costs, raise service performance, and build a supply chain structure that can support acquisitions and long-term expansion.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the company’s sourcing and procurement approach across raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and indirect categories.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure better pricing, stronger service, improved payment terms, and durable long-term partnerships.
• Find opportunities for dual sourcing and reduce exposure to supply disruptions.
• Track commodity movements and take action early to manage cost swings.
• Capture procurement benefits tied to acquisitions and future integration efforts.
• Put in place purchasing standards, policies, and performance measures.
• Manage inbound freight, inventory movement, warehousing, and outbound distribution across multiple production sites.
• Oversee frozen distribution operations and coordinate with warehouse partners and third-party logistics providers.
• Improve inventory transparency, material planning, and just-in-time replenishment practices.
• Refine transportation routes, cross-dock processes, and overall distribution performance.
• Direct, coach, and develop a growing supply chain team covering procurement, logistics, and distribution.
• Build scalable workflows and reporting tools that can keep pace with company growth.
• Create KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility into procurement, inventory, logistics, and service levels.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing waste, improving efficiency, and increasing profitability.
• Partner across functions to support product launches, capacity planning, and operational programs.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain roles within food manufacturing.
• Proven background in procurement and strategic sourcing, including successful negotiations.
• Hands-on experience managing suppliers, commodity buying, and packaging procurement.
• Working knowledge of inbound logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control.
• Experience leading teams and developing supply chain talent.
• Strong ERP system experience and a data-led approach to decisions.
• Excellent analytical, financial, and communication abilities.
• Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on in a fast-moving manufacturing setting.
• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
• Frozen food distribution or cold-chain logistics experience is preferred.
• Exposure to acquisitions or post-merger integration is preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
