Role overview
Holmes Solutions is inviting applications from summer interns who want hands-on exposure to real-world engineering projects. The team works on a wide range of interesting assignments, from rethinking construction approaches to creating thrill rides, and focuses on practical innovation across design, testing, and compliance work.
The company partners with international clients across adventure recreation, construction, and roadside hardware. Work spans the full project lifecycle, including ideation, research and development, testing, compliance, and accreditation, so the environment is varied and fast-moving.
What you’ll do
As a summer intern, you will contribute to practical and professional work in Holmes Solutions’ design office and testing facility. You may be involved in projects across the Construction, Roadside, Transport, and Adventure Recreation sectors, working alongside engineers and laboratory technicians to develop creative solutions for clients.
The internship runs full-time from November to February and is based in Hornby, Christchurch.
