Role Summary

This position is responsible for running the Airtel store smoothly, ensuring store processes follow approved standards, and delivering a strong customer experience. The role also carries ownership of store revenue, cost control, compliance, and day-to-day operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Store operations: Keep store activities aligned with defined SOPs and maintain the prescribed store appearance and standards. Monitor stock levels, perform regular inventory checks, and work with supply chain teams to keep products available. Manage visual merchandising so displays and layouts remain attractive and aligned to brand expectations. Track store transactions and budgets carefully to support cost efficiency and financial goals. Apply security practices and loss-prevention measures to protect inventory and assets. Ensure the store is prepared for formal launches, as well as refit and conversion activities.

Customer experience: Put processes in place that improve customer satisfaction, support quick resolution of concerns, and strengthen the overall in-store experience. Provide product guidance, service support, and issue resolution in a way that builds loyalty. Use KPIs to measure store performance and share regular updates with senior leadership.

People management: Guide retail team members through coaching, feedback, and day-to-day leadership so they can deliver strong service and sales results. Conduct trainings when needed to improve product understanding, sales capability, and working practices. Coordinate with teams such as marketing, finance, and HR to keep store operations aligned with company policies and to support smooth integration between in-store and online functions.

Reporting Structure

The role reports to the Regional Head, which may include the Zonal Own Retail Manager.

Stakeholder Interaction

Internal stakeholders include Zonal and Area Sales Managers as well as Field Sales Executives. External coordination will be required with channel partners.

Education and Experience

A full-time graduate degree is required. An MBA or PGDM is optional. The role calls for 4 or more years of experience in retail business operations.

Skills and Competencies

Strong retail operations knowledge, familiarity with sales and marketing practices, basic proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, along with leadership, communication, interpersonal ability, teamwork, process discipline, result focus, customer centricity, influencing skills, and a positive, energetic approach.
