About the Role
The Horse is hiring a Social & Content Manager to lead its social presence across channels from strategy through to delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how to create content that captures attention, drives engagement, and strengthens brand identity.
This position goes well beyond scheduling posts. It involves owning the full social function, shaping how the brand appears online, and contributing across broader marketing activities. The ideal candidate is creative, commercially aware, and comfortable getting involved in both planning and execution.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience in social media and content creation within eCommerce, retail, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong ability to produce and edit video, especially for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- A solid grasp of social trends, platform algorithms, and content performance drivers.
- The confidence to manage social channels independently with a strong sense of style, narrative, and brand voice.
- Experience directing shoots and creating content behind the camera as well as on set.
- Exposure to working with creators, influencers, and user-generated content.
- Knowledge of paid social and performance-led content.
- Comfort using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Suite, Canva, Shopify, and Meta.
- A creative, proactive mindset with commercial awareness.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and stay solution-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver social media strategies that support brand and campaign goals.
- Take ownership of all social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and new/emerging channels.
- Monitor trends, opportunities, and shifts across platforms to keep the brand current and competitive.
- Manage the entire content process from concept development to filming, editing, and publishing.
- Produce engaging short-form video content with strong opening hooks and clear storytelling.
- Plan, direct, and shoot content across product, styling, behind-the-scenes, and campaign settings.
- Edit content for platform-specific performance, including pacing, captions, trends, and sound.
- Ensure all content stays aligned with the brand’s identity and creative direction.
- Oversee the social content calendar and maintain consistent publishing standards.
- Write clear, engaging copy and captions that match the brand tone.
- Find, onboard, and coordinate creators and influencers.
- Provide briefs and direction to talent so content meets brand expectations.
- Source and manage UGC for both organic and paid use cases.
- Support community engagement while protecting a consistent brand voice.
- Review content and channel performance regularly.
- Prepare reports with key metrics and practical recommendations.
- Use performance data and trend insights to keep improving content output.
