Role overview
Harris Farm Markets is looking for a Shop Assistant to support store operations, assist customers, and help keep the shop looking full, fresh, and inviting. This role suits someone with a positive attitude, pride in doing things well, and a real interest in fresh food. Prior experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
- Replenish and rotate stock so displays remain full, fresh, and attractive.
- Keep the back-of-house area tidy, orderly, and running smoothly.
- Check stock freshness, dates, and rotation practices in line with FIFO.
- Maintain shelves carefully so products are easy for customers to find and access.
- Deliver friendly, practical customer service on the shop floor.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist the wider team to keep day-to-day store activity moving efficiently.
About you
The ideal candidate enjoys working with food and has experience in fresh food retail. You should also be detail-oriented, well organised, physically comfortable with manual tasks and extended time on your feet, a dependable team player, and available across a 7-day roster that includes both morning and evening shifts.
